Bubble .. or Aneurysm ...

Fake Steve points out Salesforce.com's P/E ratio: 3666! I have to confess I was so blown away I actually double-checked this on the WSJ site.

Wow, wonder how long that can last!

More Dangerous than Terrorists

Valleywag:

We've now learned more about the outage at 365 Main's San Francisco datacenter that knocked some of the Web's most popular sites offline. The latest theory: An employee, reportedly drunk, hit the emergency-power-off switch in 365 Main's Colo 4 room.

UPDATE I wonder if this explains why the Better Half was unable to get to Netflix yesterday.

UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: Well, maybe that's not the way it went down (get it?).

Was there a drunk employee? Harris, the ever-so-believable 365 Main flack, is denying "employee misconduct." But that doesn't rule out someone else with access to the building tripping the emergency-power-off switch on the affected floor. Bad timing? Sure. Impossible coincidence? No.

Net-net: (hey, another pun!) no good answer yet.

Just In Case You Hadn't Heard

Symantec on security:

As previously covered in this space, another recent study, Symantec's 11th Annual Security Threat Report, found Windows as a whole to be more secure than any other competing OS, based on vulnerabilities and fixes during the last six months of 2006.
